To engage up where the Pokemon “Advanced” Season left off, “Advanced Challenge” offers Pokemon fans more titillating adventures, featuring Ash, Pikachu, Brock, May, and Max! Plus, any DVD that features five episodes or more, in my book, is a winner.

Here are some comments and observations I had, regarding each of the episodes:
“Exploud and Clear:” It was a riot to notice Exploud go crazy, plus his reaction to being “captured” by Team Rocket is priceless! Both Exploud and Grovyle battle like fierce rivals, similar to the method Seviper battled Zangoose, as seen in the “Bent Zangoose” episode! Search For that, when Team Rocket fires their cork gun, for the second time, the number of corks increases from impartial three to many more, as they are seen shooting through the air!

“Go Go Ludicolo!:” Poncho’s affirm sounds similar to the content acting of George Lopez from the “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” movie! This episode starts off on a dusky mark for Corphish, but the Pokemon really shines as the episode progresses! Too unpleasant the heroes and Poncho ended up eating Brock’s stew, approach the demolish of the episode, instead of Poncho treating the heroes to cheeseburgers, like he mentioned earlier on!
“A Double Dilemma:” Unpleasant Ash never catches a wreck with the “Norman Fans” nor the reporter! Pikachu is in tip-top shape, throughout this episode! I can’t obtain over how the guy who lived next door to May and Max actually plan that the disguised Meowth and Wobbuffet looked objective like the two siblings! The reporter’s put a question to to Team Rocket is classic: “Who the Pokemon are you?!”
“Savor, Petalburg Style!:” This is the official Pokemon “soap opera” episode, when it comes to Norman, Caroline, and Nurse Joy! Uncommon how Kenny wasn’t originally featured in “There’s No Residence Like Hoenn,” the first episode to feature May and Max’s parents. Kenny and Caroline’s behavior is hilarious to perceive, once May and Max mention Beautifly! I derive a kick out of Caroline’s excuse for the scene: “I’ve objective been trying to work some expend into my housework! Ah-ha-ha-ha!” Some immense script work for the yarn includes Max interrupting Kenny’s primary information to the heroes, concerning Norman and Caroline … Unbiased when the audience is eagerly awaiting what Kenny is about to say, Max distracts everyone by pointing out the different Pokemon that belong to his father, on three occasions! Nice build-up within this scene … It’s Kenny versus Max when it comes to someone “having the floor!”
“Balance of Power:” Slakoth’s abilities are astonishing! Sight how it sounds like both Norman and Slakoth express the name Slakoth as “Slak-on,” once Slakoth first appears! The “Overgrow” scene took me by surprise! Suitable honest message about losing and winning at the kill of the episode.
There is only one negative point to this DVD (This includes all of the DVD volumes for this Season of Pokemon) … Under the “Bonus Features” menu, both the opening and closing themes are featured, yet they are already featured within each of the individual episodes, so to feature the true same thing again, in a bonus feature, is redundant. However, this sort of thing doesn’t really bother me as it might other fans of the Pokemon series who query more from bonus features, and it doesn’t grasp away from my overall rating on this release … I impartial had to mention this to upcoming purchasers of the Pokemon “Advanced Challenge” series who have high expectations upon checking out the bonus features. Fortunately, there is a clear point to the “Bonus Features” fragment, and this includes brief descriptions of a couple of the upcoming “Advanced Challenge” episodes from future DVD releases … That was nice.
*Before I halt, imprint that there are a couple of differences between the opening and closing themes of “Advanced Challenge” … In the intro, there is footage of Drew and Roselia, but during the ending sequence, the footage is replaced by a shot of Professor Oak, Ash’s Mother, and Tracy. Also, the tail-end of the closing theme features a far-off image of the heroes, with each character facing in a different direction. Usually, in Seasons past, the Pokemon ending themes are edited versions of the opening themes, but on this occasion, there are some subtle differences between the two!
In closing, I have to say that everyone who contributed in making the Pokemon episodes and the DVD sets did a astonishing job!
Thanks for reading! God Bless…

Here are some comments and observations I had, regarding each of the episodes:
“Near What May!:” Team Rocket forgot to prepare themselves with electric-proof gear before Pikachu zapped them, this time around … On many other occasions, they knew better, but not here! Laughable to peer a elated Jessie ready for her “cessation up” when Team Rocket “Blasts Off!”
The rainbow special effects were splendid clean, even though they were produced by a blueprint, not a Pokemon!

“Cheer Pressure:” Sheridan reminds me of Anthony from the Advanced episode, “You Said a Mouthful,” when it comes to tricking the opponent! Max has a key role in this episode! Gigantic scene featuring Ash and a weakened Pikachu taking on Seviper! Jessie and James dueling for the “spotlight,” during the Team Rocket Motto, made for a laughable minute scene! I also got a kick out of the cop-out line, “I’ll send you a check!”
“Game Winning Assist:” May using Skitty’s “Encourage” to revive the Numel was a clever view! Team Rocket’s remarks about eating lots of ice cream and double cheeseburgers on “Easy Street” are classic, as was Brock’s “You complete me” dialog to Julie!
“Fight for the Meteorite:” Jessie throwing a temper tantrum while attempting to consume the cable car phone to call for attend had me in stitches! Gaze how Pikachu tries to retain mild while using a Thunderbolt on Team Magma’s machine!
Also check out an awesome tackle from the Professor as he charges into the Commander of Team Magma!
“Poetry Commotion!:” Thank goodness for grandfathers in disguise!
The bathroom/badge scene was a hoot! I got a kick out of Flannery’s grandfather’s line, “The Skitty’s out of the bag!” Team Rocket’s reaction to the grandfather spying on his acquire house, while in disguise, was comical, as well.
Flannery’s grunt sounds like like Shauna’s, from the Advanced episode, “A Meditite Fight,” although Flannery’s scream sounds slightly more passe than Shauna’s! Fortunately, there is always time for a sand bath!
There is only one negative point to this DVD (This includes all of the DVD volumes for this Season of Pokemon) … Under the “Bonus Features” menu, both the opening and closing themes are featured, yet they are already featured within each of the individual episodes, so to feature the valid same thing again, in a bonus feature, is redundant. However, this sort of thing doesn’t really bother me as it might other fans of the Pokemon series who request more from bonus features, and it doesn’t consume away from my overall rating on this release … I unbiased had to mention this to upcoming purchasers of the Pokemon “Advanced Challenge” series who have high expectations upon checking out the bonus features. Fortunately, there is a clear point to the “Bonus Features” fraction, and this includes brief descriptions of a couple of the upcoming “Advanced Challenge” episodes from future DVD releases … That was nice.
*Before I stop, notice that there are a couple of differences between the opening and closing themes of “Advanced Challenge” … In the intro, there is footage of Drew and Roselia, but during the ending sequence, the footage is replaced by a shot of Professor Oak, Ash’s Mother, and Tracy. Here are some comments and observations I had, regarding each of the episodes:
“Going, Going, Yawn:” Nice “finish detached” good message from Flannery’s grandfather, in this episode. The scenes featuring Team Rocket bathing in the hot spring were comical! I found two hilarious quotes, here … Team Rocket: “And then it’s raises and promotions and ‘stuff’!”/Flannery towards Ash, during their battle: “His attitude is making me inflamed!”
Buy,Download, Or Stream Pokemon Advanced Challenge, Vol. 4 – Manectric Charge! Click Here
“Going for a Spinda:” Team Rocket’s lottery comments were priceless! I got a kick out of the visual gag of a dizzy Team Rocket with Torchics dancing around their heads as well as the Spinda costume scenes, featuring both Teddy Ursa and Meowth!
“All Torkoal, No Play:” Both the background music and the heroes’ reaction is silly when Torkoal first blows smoke on them! Check out a dramatic “cliffhanger” scene as May hangs on to a tree branch for dear life while a Magneton attacks her! Unpleasant Team Rocket gets it loyal dreadful in this episode … They don’t even glean a chance to unveil one of their worthy machines like they do in many other episodes!
“Manectric Charge:” Check out Team Rocket wearing the same Pokemon costumes they wore in the Orange Island episode, “In The Pink!” On both occasions, the costumes were only extinct during the villains’ Motto, but the costumes are not pink, here! I enjoy that Jessie is wearing a Tauros costume and James is wearing a Gengar costume. Also, looks like May had better success with using Skitty’s “Back” than Ash did with using Torkoal’s “Overheat!”
“Delcatty Got Your Tongue:” Abby is a memorable guest star and a marvelous mentor for May. Fancy Team Rocket’s “Skitty versus Eevee” collection remarks!
Ticket that Skitty learns “Blizzard” faster than any of Ash’s Pokemon learned their fresh attacks (Ex. Pikachu perfecting “Iron Tail” over the course of a few episodes)!
There is only one negative point to this DVD (This includes all of the DVD volumes for this Season of Pokemon) … Under the “Bonus Features” menu, both the opening and closing themes are featured, yet they are already featured within each of the individual episodes, so to feature the staunch same thing again, in a bonus feature, is redundant. Fortunately, there is a certain point to the “Bonus Features” part, and this includes brief descriptions of a couple of the upcoming “Advanced Challenge” episodes from future DVD releases … That was nice.
